BRZKMND posts are designed for you to get a peek into my mindset, interesting concepts, and a feel for how I think.
No current narration, but listen the the song at the end of this post as you read. It's dope!
Firstly, Happy New Year! I’m back at my keyboard where I belong. I swear every time I write, I get a euphoric rush. That’s how I know this is where I am supposed to be. 2023 has been full of everything for me. I will elaborate on this, but the primary concern that needs to be addressed is my absence. The truth is, a lot of the things that I write go unpublished; I have to really feel what I’m putting out. The last time I posted was on July 10th, a day before my birthday. I wrote about DMX and how he triumphed over his childhood trauma. Usually, when I write something, it’s because the experience has weighed heavily on my heart. It can be therapeutic to be able to empathize with people who have been in similar situations. Lately, I have been doing okay, though. I have been feeling at peace with myself. I have achieved many things and have also met and reconnected with some individuals. That said, I have lost a great deal too. Life has waves of good and bad; it’s truly humbling.
That being said, I’m excited about the new year and what it can bring. As far as brzksmly blog, it’s not going anywhere. I may make some changes as far as designs, but I’m going to keep everything mostly the same. I don’t know if you can tell, but it’s something about black that I really like. As far as content-wise, I was thinking about making things more personal. This year I want to share a bit more about myself and how I think. I feel that would make the blog more consistent since I won’t have to refer to other people constantly. If you don’t know, I write a lot about other people because I feel that if we can see greatness or flaws in people that we admire, then maybe we can relate. I try to be as comprehensive as possible. But shit, maybe you can relate to someone like me more.
I didn’t really plan on making this a full post, but I have three simple things that I’ve learned over the years that are not as obvious to most. Food for thought, I suppose.
Invest Your Money Instead Of Just Holding It In A Bank.
Investing is the best way to make the most of your money. A bank serves as a temporary storage for money, such as paychecks, and also offers loans for various purposes like car purchases and mortgages. Understand different investment options like stocks, CDs, mutual funds, and bonds to make your money work for you and earn extra income. The main aim is to make your money work for you, so you’re not solely reliant on your employer for income. Invest requires research, but is well with the energy and time it takes. Good starter apps are Acorn and Stash. AVOID CRYPTOCURRENCY.
Never Stop Learning New Skills.
Always try to learn new things, as the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey that enriches our lives and opens up countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. Learning today is easier than traditional schooling. You can focus on subjects you like. Self-studying helps you gain specialized knowledge in a specific field. With this knowledge, you can get certified and start earning money. Jobs in skilled trades like electrical work and carpentry pay well. There are also opportunities in fields like social media management, graphic design, and web development, although they may take longer to learn. With the right tools and talent, you can succeed in these areas.
Work Your Job the Best You Can.
You chose your job or attended a job fair to offer a service. Whether you like your job or not, it was your decision. I suggest doing your job well so you can progress, even if it’s temporary. Once you gain experience, you can use it for better opportunities and higher pay. The end goal is to work for yourself, doing what you’re passionate about. A job is a means to get you there. The true reward for working the best you can is not just external recognition or material success, but the inner joy and contentment that comes from knowing that you have given it your all and made a positive impact. It is this feeling of satisfaction that drives you to continue striving for excellence and pushing your limits with everything you do in life. The ultimate payout lies in the journey of self-improvement.
